J&S Construction took a road trip south to join the national nonprofit organization Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) to specially adapt a custom home for Marine SSgt Johnny Morris II and his family in Elberta, Ala.
Collegeside Church of Christ Expansion / Renovations

Collegeside Church of Christ, situated on five acres next to Tennessee Tech University’s sprawling campus, has been sharing the gospel with Cookeville for more than half a century. The congregation’s worship center, previously expanded by J&S Construction to seat more than 600 individuals in 2019, was quickly reaching capacity just five years later. Collegeside’s leadership noticed less readily available space for seating and recognized the church would soon need additional square footage to house the thriving congregation.
Plateau Pediatrics Expansion

Plateau Pediatrics, one of the Upper Cumberland’s leading pediatric practices, expanded its Crossville operations, doubling the facility’s size to add eight exam rooms, a spacious break room, and conference room. The waiting room, lab space, reception area and nurses’ station also drastically increased in size.
St. Alphonsus Catholic Church

Parishioners of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Crossville gathered on Dec. 3, 2022, to witness a new chapter in their parish history. Bishop Richard F. Stika and St. Alphonsus Pastor Father Mark Schuster led a groundbreaking ceremony that included other diocesan clergy, parish building committee members, construction officials, and guests.
HOPE Family Health

Founded in 2005 and located in Sumner and Macon Counties, HOPE Family Health is the only faith-based, nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center of its kind. The philanthropic group continuously seeks to improve access to medical and mental healthcare in rural areas, and places an emphasis on vulnerable populations such as the uninsured, underinsured, poor, and homeless, children, migrant workers, and those addicted to substances.
