J&S Construction Company, Inc., has recently been featured in the Spring Issue 2010 of Building & Construction Southeast, a regional quarterly trade magazine for the construction industry.

Building & Construction Southeast is a publication aimed at owners, executives and other decision-makers in the Southeastern construction market. It is one of a series of regional business-to-business construction magazines published by Mayfair Business Media, which is based in Los Angeles with a satellite office in Chicago.

J&S Construction was highlighted as being a leader in its market, as well as being on the rise in this tough economy.

The company is also known for measuring its success in everything it does.

"You can't improve what you don't measure," said CEO Johnny Stites. "And we are measuring about 50 different items in our company to make sure there's a predictable result for our clients. By doing this, it reduces the client's risk."

J&S Construction employees continue to work diligently, utilizing the company's expertise in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) to provide the most economic and energy-efficient techniques in the Upper Cumberland.

"Most construction companies sit back and wait for someone to call them," added Stites. "Sooner or later, some of these companies are going to be forced to throw in the towel and say, 'We just can't do this anymore.'"

Another example of the tenacious work and determination of the J&S staff would be a Volume Sales Builder Award recently presented by one of the top producers for building manufacturers in the country.

"The reason we continue to grow and meet people's expectations is due to the processes we have in place that measure every aspect of the client's needs," said President Jack Stites. "We have also been able to stay viable in this dormant market by taking ourselves out of the box to ensure the client stays 100 percent delighted."
