THK Rhythm North America Building #3 Expansion

A 60,168 square-foot expansion project for THK Rhythm North America Co. Ltd., located in Sparta, Tenn.

The extension to THK’s Building #3, originally built by J&S Construction in 2005, includes a 54,000 square-foot production area, a state-of-the-art compressor room and electrical room, new server space, extra storage, an employee breakroom with vending and lockers, a backside employee entrance with canopy, additional restrooms and a meeting room/storm shelter with accordion movable partitions.

The pre-engineered metal building is comprised of a light gauge metal interior framing with exterior metal panels and a metal roof system. The expansion’s manufacturing area was reinforced with an 8” thick interior concrete slab and contains new production pits for the facility’s conveyor system as well as a removable floor plate system.

A new, heavy-duty pavement area and an employee parking lot was added to the north end of the facility and is surrounded by a fencing system and associated gates.

The nine-month contract was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

THK Rhythm North America Co., Ltd. is a supplier of suspension ball joints, aluminum suspension links, steering tie rods and stabilizer connecting rods to the North American automotive industry.
