J&S Construction has more than 62 years under its belt in providing premier contracting services to the Upper Cumberland and surrounding areas.
Over the years, the company has prided itself in providing a work atmosphere that welcomes family members to work side-by-side. These employees aren’t just working for the corporation, they are working to carry on family tradition and contribute to their family legacy. On a day-to-day basis, J&S team members are creating some of Middle Tennessee’s finest buildings, all while working hand in hand with the people they trust most, family.
Since 1957, more than 30 various families have been a part of the J&S Team, including children, siblings and other relatives. The company’s current roster of family members includes a metal building trio, a Field Manager pair and a mother/son duo.
Buford Cole and his two sons, Bryan and Shane, specialize in pre-engineered metal building installations and other steel fabrication work. The Coles have dedicated many years to J&S Construction, with Buford giving more than 21 to the company and Bryan adding 15. Shane joined the duo in the summer of 2018.

Ben specializes in heading up complex building projects, regardless of size, and Hap enjoys working with contracts that involve complicated concrete work.
