J&S Construction Company, Inc., a Cookeville-based, pre-engineered manufacturer was recently awarded three separate honors by A&S Building Systems at a recent luncheon held at Freedom Plaza, J&S Construction’s corporate headquarters.
A&S Building Systems is a leading pre-engineered building systems manufacturer and division of NCi, one of the largest suppliers of metal building products in the industry. J&S’s accolades included the Outstanding Customer Award, the Outstanding Performance Award 2010 and the Award of Excellence for its recent work on the Nashville Hangar.
“It would have been enough to be recognized in the top 10 percent of the nation, but to have also received the top award for integrity and loyalty makes this award so much more special,” said Johnny Stites, J&S Construction CEO. “It is important to us to demonstrate those two qualities in all of our relationships, for if we consistently do demonstrate those qualities, we know the contracts will come too.”
The Outstanding Customer Award is one of the three major awards given annually by A&S Building Systems to an authorized builder, which recognizes increased performance in using A&S products within the metal buildings industry. Performance is based upon invoiced shipments paid within terms during a calendar year. Additionally, this award is based on the overall partnership between the Builder and A&S Building Systems with an emphasis on integrity and loyalty.
The Outstanding Performance Award also holds an emphasis on integrity and loyalty and is based on volume performance and the partnership between J&S Construction and A&S Building Systems.
The Award of Excellence was decided upon the complexity and appearance of the 24,000 square-foot airplane hangar which was built for two internationally famous music stars at the Nashville International Airport. The project consisted of a 16,000 square-foot hangar, office space, maintenance garage, kitchen, site work, parking, storage, bunk rooms and fuel farm.
